Dark Horizons caught a new Zack Snyder interview and the fandom is talking again. Snyder sat down with Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused for a full walk through his DC years. Man of Steel. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He covered all of it. And honestly? The guy sounds anything but done.
So Could the Snyder DC Saga Actually Continue?
And here’s where it gets good. Snyder was asked point blank about a Justice League continuation and he didn’t pump the brakes. He owned the fact that continuing the story beyond Zack Snyder’s Justice League has come up in real conversations, not just fan speculation. The twist? He’s not necessarily talking another big screen event. A comic book continuation or an animated feature were both mentioned as ways the Snyder DC universe story could actually move forward.
“We’ve absolutely talked about it quite a bit,” Snyder said, noting that in today’s rapidly shifting media landscape, none of those doors are closed.
That’s not a greenlight. But it’s a long way from a goodbye.
A Snyderverse Revival That Wouldn’t Rock the Gunn Boat
Snyder was also careful to draw a clean line between any potential Snyderverse Return and what James Gunn is currently building over at DC Studios. The two worlds, he made clear, wouldn’t need to collide. Any Justice League sequel or Snyder DC continuation would exist on its own terms, running parallel to Gunn‘s DCU reboot rather than against it. For fans who’ve been nervous that one has to die for the other to live, that’s a meaningful distinction.
Nobody should be surprised by the timing of this either. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is nearly at the ten-year mark, and milestone anniversaries have a way of pulling feelings back to the surface. Snyder‘s vision of the DC universe was bold, dark, and completely its own thing, and the fans who embraced it have never really stepped away.
