Luke‘s messy love triangle took center stage in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11, Episode 6, and by the time the credits rolled, Luke loses Joy, loses Gen and possibly loses a whole lot more. While Gen believed she and Luke were building something real, Luke stayed laser-focused on patching things up with Joy. Keeping both women in the dark was never going to work, and it didn’t. By episode’s end, Joy and Gen had compared notes, Luke had struck out twice, and Nathan finally learned the truth about his bedsheets.

Nathan Struggles Through The Charter

Nathan woke up sick as the crew pushed through another demanding charter, with no clue that the sheets beneath him still carried the disgusting surprise Luke left behind earlier this season.

The timing was brutal. Nathan was already juggling yacht life with home life, and he ultimately chose to stay aboard rather than risk passing his illness to Gael or their son. Gael took the separation hard, later calling Nathan in tears about how difficult the distance had become. Nathan got emotional too as he opened up about the strain their working arrangement puts on the family.

Back on deck, Luke was busy manufacturing a very different kind of headache.

The Below Deck Med Luke Drama Spills Onto The Deck

Joe clocked it first: Luke‘s head was nowhere near the job. The yacht needed work, and Luke seemed far more invested in managing Joy and Gen than maintaining the deck. Nathan noticed the slide too, watching Luke fumble through docking mistakes with his focus clearly elsewhere.

Joe knew these warning signs better than anyone. Having stirred up his own relationship drama in the past, he understood how fast a tangled crew romance can infect every department on board.

The guests eventually departed and left a strong $27,000 tip. Once the charter wrapped, Luke finally changed his sheets and even offered to wash Nathan‘s bedding. Nathan declined, not wanting Luke near his germs. Given what Luke had already done to that bed, the irony practically wrote itself.

Before Luke Loses Joy, Gen Thinks They’re Exclusive

Here’s where things got combustible. Luke had already decided he wanted Joy, but Gen had somehow landed on the exact opposite conclusion.

While Luke told Joe he planned to end things with Gen and take another run at Joy, Gen was telling Kayley that she and Luke were completely on the same page. In her mind, they only wanted each other. And honestly, Luke gave her every reason to think so. He slept with her, asked her to keep it quiet, then immediately swung his attention back to Joy.

Aesha and Nathan made it worse, though not entirely on their own. Luke recruited their help in the taxi to dinner while conveniently leaving out the part where he slept with Gen, so they arranged for him to sit next to Joy at the crew dinner having no idea what they were actually helping with. Luke spent the meal locked in on Joy while Gen watched from the other end of the table. That was her breaking point.

Gen Exposes Luke’s Secret

Gen pulled Aesha aside and accused her of working against her. Aesha was baffled, right up until Gen revealed that she and Luke had slept together. Aesha apologized on the spot. She’d been helping Luke get closer to Joy without knowing the full story.

Then Gen confronted Luke directly and made it plain: Joy deserved the truth. Luke got defensive, asked if Gen was threatening him, and told her to act maturely. Rich, coming from the guy who built this entire mess.

Realizing the secret was about to escape with or without him, Luke raced to reach Joy first. It did not go well.

Luke Loses Joy Once And For All

Luke admitted he’d been intimate with Gen, but instead of owning it, he criticized Gen‘s reaction and tried to paint her as the problem. Joy saw straight through it.

She asked how Luke could encourage Gen, sleep with her, then stroll back to Joy like nothing happened. She called his behavior weak, and just like that, Joy ends things with Luke for good. He walked into that conversation hoping to win her back. He walked out having lost both women.

The best part came after, when Joy and Gen talked privately. Rather than turning on each other, they compared stories and realized Luke had misled them both. The conversation stayed civil, and they landed on one shared conclusion: neither of them wanted him anymore.

The Bedsheet Secret Gets Out, And Nathan Wants Blood

Elsewhere, Gen let Cooper in on what Luke had left behind in Nathan‘s bunk, and his reaction said everything. Cooper told Joe, and Joe knew Nathan deserved the truth. The next morning, Joe pulled Nathan aside and revealed what had really been on his sheets.

Nathan tried to stay calm. It didn’t last. What Luke apparently shrugged off as no big deal crossed a serious line, especially since Nathan had unknowingly kept sleeping in that bed for three nights. And through all the ribbing that followed, Luke never once offered a real apology. By the end of the episode, Nathan was angry enough to warn Luke that one more slip could cost him his job.

So Luke‘s romance with Joy ends, his connection with Gen is dead in the water, and now his position on the yacht might be next. Rough week at sea.

Below Deck Mediterranean continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams on Peacock.
