Netflix is getting another dose of Sam Morril, and judging by the first trailer, he is not exactly planning to play it safe.
The comedian will return to the streaming service with Sam Morril: Incorrect, a new one-hour stand-up special arriving later this month. Netflix has now released the official trailer, offering the first real look at Morril’s latest hour and the kind of sharp, dark humor that has helped him build a loyal comedy following.
For Morril, Incorrect also marks a return to familiar territory. His previous Netflix special, Same Time Tomorrow, arrived in 2022 and leaned heavily into the dry delivery, dark punchlines and social observations that have become part of his style. Netflix itself describes that earlier special as mixing everything from problematic fairy tales to biting social commentary.
Sam Morril brings a new hour to Netflix
This time around, Sam Morril has plenty of new material to work with. Netflix says Incorrect finds comedian Sam Morril digging into a disastrous one-night stand, the strangely dark humor surrounding infamous assassinations and what sounds like a very personal war against rats. The material should feel familiar to anyone who has followed Sam Morril’s comedy, which often leans into uncomfortable subjects with a dry delivery and sharp punchlines.
Sam Morril did more than simply walk onstage and perform the material. He also wrote, directed and executive produced the special. Molly Mandel, Daniel Powell and Alex Bach are among the other executive producers behind Sam Morril’s Netflix special.
That level of control should not be particularly surprising for anyone who has followed Sam Morril’s stand-up career. The New York comedian has spent years building his audience through television appearances, touring, podcasts and comedy specials across several different platforms.
His credits include Positive Influence on Comedy Central, I Got This, Up on the Roof and the 2024 Prime Video special You’ve Changed. Sam Morril’s stand-up has also found a sizable audience online, with his two YouTube specials generating more than 20 million combined views. You’ve Changed included material Morril also performed at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Sam Morril has also appeared multiple times on late-night television, including Conan and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, had a small role in Joker and co-hosts the We Might Be Drunk podcast with fellow comedian Mark Normand.
Netflix continues making stand-up a major part of its lineup
Morril’s return also comes at a time when Netflix has made stand-up comedy feel less like an occasional addition to the service and more like one of its defining entertainment categories.
Over the years, the streamer has accumulated a huge library of comedy specials featuring everyone from established stars to comics who were still building their audiences. Netflix said it had already released more than 350 stand-up specials from more than 200 comedians during the first decade of its push into the format.
That commitment has only continued growing.
Netflix’s comedy lineup in 2026 alone has included new specials from comedians such as Katt Williams, Trevor Noah and Mike Epps, while Netflix Is a Joke Fest has become an enormous extension of the company’s comedy business. The 2026 festival featured more than 350 live events around Los Angeles, including stand-up shows, podcast tapings, screenings and other comedy events.
That makes Morril’s return a pretty natural fit. He has already established himself with Netflix audiences, and Incorrect gives him another full hour to show why his deadpan delivery and willingness to head directly toward uncomfortable subjects have become such a recognizable part of his comedy.
Now fans can get their first taste of what he has planned.
