Although top down mobile shooters with a vast array of weapons upgrades is not a novel concept, but Zombie Gunship Survival aims for an immersive experience by exploring the undead genre from a different vantage point.
Players are in command of a gunner seat on an AC-130 aircraft, and the goal is to kill as many zombies as possible and protect the ground troops that have embarked on scavenging missions. As the game progresses, players can upgrade their weaponry and, with the collection of valuable resources, build a remote airfield for the survivors.
Publisher Flaregames are touting their title as a first-person shooter in the vein of Call of Duty and Battlefield, and the franchise’s original installment (Zombie Gunship) was honored with the IGN Editors Choice Award back in 2011. Thus, there is a bit of momentum behind Zombie Gunship Survival’s May 25th on iOS and Android, and in celebration of its premiere flaregames has released a 360 degree video/dramatization of the game:
