Vampire Academy’s Lucy Fry Takes A Deeper Look Into Lissa Dragomir

Vampire Academy (Weinstein Company) Dedication and preparation for a role comes in many forms for an actor, and for Lucy Fry part of that research including learning an English accent for Lissa Dragomir, her character in Vampire Academy.

The film, co-starring Zooey Deutch and Dominic Sherwood, is based on Richelle Mead’s popular novel, and before shooting started Fry read the book five times.

“It was great to see this psychological journey of Lissa in the book and to be able to go into the detail of it,” said Fry, who hails from Australia. “Where her craziness comes from, where her powers come from and her relationship with Rose (Deutch) and the history of that. To be able to really go into all of those places and discover the depth of Lissa.”
