Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson revisit years of hurt as the Tokyo trip continues on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Between animal cafés, a tea ceremony, sushi making and more tension, old problems keep finding their way back into the group.
The Tokyo trip continues with animal cafés
The women continue exploring Tokyo with several different outings. Tamra Judge, Emily Simpson and Jennifer Pedranti visit a capybara café, where Emily gets an especially close encounter with one of the animals.
The group also visits a muscle-themed café, where performers entertain the women and Shannon Beador gets pulled into some of the fun.
The women navigate Tokyo during the cast trip
The Tokyo trip also brings some transportation adventures as the women try to figure out the city’s subway system. They struggle to determine where they are going, while Tamra points out some of the etiquette expected on public transportation, including keeping conversations and phone use quiet.
The group later takes part in a go-kart outing through the city, although Heather Dubrow expresses concern about how low the vehicles sit and how dangerous the experience could be.
Gina asks about wearing traditional Japanese clothing
The women attend a traditional tea ceremony and dress in kimonos. Before taking part, Gina Kirschenheiter asks whether it is appropriate for them to wear traditional Japanese clothing, especially while being filmed.
They are told that sharing the culture with visitors is welcomed, and the women continue with the ceremony as another part of their Tokyo cast trip.
Old wounds return during the Tokyo trip
The trip brings Tamra and Vicki back to problems that have followed their friendship for years. Vicki remains upset over Tamra’s past comments connecting her and Brooks Ayers to the cancer controversy.
Tamra, meanwhile, is still hurt by something Vicki said on her podcast about her estranged daughter, Sidney Barney. According to Tamra, Vicki suggested that she chose fame over having a relationship with Sidney.
Vicki says she already apologized, but the issue remains painful for Tamra.
Tamra gets emotional during the tea ceremony
While the women sit together after the tea ceremony, Tamra becomes emotional while talking about Sidney. She begins crying, and Shannon comforts her as the conversation turns to the pain surrounding Tamra’s estrangement from her daughter.
The emotional moment adds another serious turn to a Tokyo trip that has already brought several unresolved issues back to the surface.
The women try making sushi in Tokyo
The group also takes part in a sushi-making class. Not every attempt goes smoothly, including Heather’s, as the women learn how to put their own sushi together.
After the class, however, the tension between Tamra and Vicki returns and once again shifts the focus away from the sightseeing.
Tamra and Vicki clash again on the Tokyo trip
Tamra brings up the fact that she and Vicki still are not getting along. Vicki accuses Tamra of creating conflict and says she tends to stir things up.
She also points to Tamra’s history of falling out with different members of the cast. The two continue going back and forth over their friendship and the issues that have built up between them.
More RHOC tension follows the group through Tokyo
The episode also keeps several smaller disagreements alive. Shannon remains bothered by questions surrounding who did and did not speak to Alexis Bellino Janssen at Tamra’s party.
Gina is frustrated that Shannon does not hold Vicki accountable in the same way she holds other women accountable, while Jenn is frustrated that Vicki and Tamra still cannot find a way to repair their friendship.
As the Tokyo trip continues, old issues remain unresolved and keep finding their way back into the group.
