Netflix officially announced that Bridgerton season 4 part 2 will premiere in a few weeks, and this time, the story is finally centered on fan favorite Benedict Bridgerton.
The bohemian second son of the Bridgerton family has always been the one who avoids responsibility. While his siblings dive into romance and marriage, Benedict has stayed on the sidelines, doing things his own way. But season 4 part 2 is about to change that in a major way.
It all begins at a lavish masquerade ball hosted by Lady Violet Bridgerton, played by Ruth Gemmell, where Benedict is completely stunned by a mysterious masked woman known as the “Lady in Silver.” One moment is all it takes, and suddenly, he is obsessed with finding out who she really is.
Benedict’s love story brings a fairy tale twist in Bridgerton season 4 part 2
With the reluctant help of his sharp and skeptical sister Eloise, played by Claudia Jessie, Benedict begins searching London society for the woman who caught his eye.
But the real twist is that his dream girl is not a wealthy socialite at all.
She is Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha, a clever and resourceful maid living in a world far removed from the Bridgertons. Sophie works under the controlling and intimidating Araminta Gun, played by Katie Leung. When fate brings her back into Benedict’s life, their connection becomes impossible to ignore.
The only problem is that Benedict is still caught between fantasy and reality. He is completely unaware that Sophie and the Lady in Silver are the same woman.
The rest of the Bridgerton family is still stirring up drama
Of course, while Benedict’s love story takes center stage, the rest of the Bridgerton world is not slowing down.
Francesca, played by Hannah Dodd, continues her marriage to John Stirling, played by Victor Alli.
Meanwhile, Colin, played by Luke Newton, and Penelope, played by Nicola Coughlan, face new challenges as a couple.
And with Penelope now publicly known as a gossip columnist, the pressure is only getting bigger.
If season 4 part 2 delivers on its fairy tale promise, it could be one of the most romantic chapters Bridgerton has ever done.
