‘The Voice’ Knockouts Part 5 marked the end of The Voice Season 28’s final showdown round on Nov. 24, closing out three last head to head duels from Team Niall Horan, Team Snoop Dogg, and Team Reba McEntire. Mega mentors Joe Walsh and Zac Brown once again stepped in to guide rehearsals as coaches finalized their Playoff rosters.
This season’s Knockouts featured a new twist. With no steals or saves, each coach relied on the Mic Drop button to nominate one standout performer for a chance to sing in the upcoming 2026 Rose Parade, with the winner decided by audience vote. Earlier Knockout editions saw Max Chambers earn Michael Bublé’s mic drop in Part 2, trio DEK of Hearts land Niall Horan’s mic drop in Part 3, and Aaron Nichols receive Reba McEntire’s mic drop in Part 4.

‘The Voice’ Knockouts Part 5: Team Reba — Austin Gilbert vs. Peyton Kyle
Songs: Austin: “Eight Second Ride” by Jake Owen • Peyton: “I Don’t Want to Be” by Gavin DeGraw
Joe Walsh’s notes: Joe encouraged Austin Gilbert to sharpen his diction and stay calm when approaching the higher notes. For Peyton Kyle, he emphasized shutting out onstage overthinking and trusting the performance.
Michael Bublé’s feedback: “You both showed up. Nothing left behind.”
Snoop Dogg’s thoughts: He felt the song fit Austin perfectly and gave Peyton “five stars.”
Niall Horan’s reaction: He enjoyed seeing a rockier tone from Austin, but praised Peyton as someone who can convincingly sing “anything.”
Reba McEntire’s decision: Reba said Austin never disappoints but reminded Peyton that she has believed in him from the beginning.

‘The Voice’ Knockouts Part 5: Team Niall — Dustin Dale Gaspard vs. Kirbi
Songs: Kirbi: “Hard Fought Hallelujah” by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll • Dustin: “She Talks to Angels” by The Black Crowes
Joe Walsh’s notes: Joe guided Kirbi on balancing power and restraint. Dustin Dale Gaspard missed rehearsal due to illness.
Reba McEntire’s comments: She praised Dustin’s harmonica work and called his vocals “stupendous,” while describing Kirbi’s performance as emotional and heartfelt.
Michael Bublé’s feedback: He admired Kirbi taking on a song traditionally performed by male singers and said Dustin brings something “no other artist on any team brings.”
Snoop Dogg’s thoughts: He enjoyed Dustin’s ability to perform and play simultaneously and said Kirbi chose the perfect song.
Niall Horan’s reaction: Torn by the decision, he called Dustin “an artist to your core,” and said Kirbi delivered her best performance to date.

‘The Voice’ Knockouts Part 5: Team Snoop — Lauren Anderson vs. Yoshihanaa
Songs: Lauren: “Try” by P!nk • Yoshihanaa: “You’re All I Need to Get By” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
Zac Brown’s notes: He advised Lauren Anderson to watch her pitch on the final note and praised Yoshihanaa for her strong mic control while suggesting adjustments during ad libs.
Niall Horan’s comments: He called Yoshihanaa a “superstar” with an impressive range and complimented Lauren’s ability to command the stage.
Reba McEntire’s feedback: She found Lauren’s performance entertaining and said Yoshihanaa delivered more than expected.
Michael Bublé’s reaction: “You’re so meant to be here. Snoop can’t make a wrong choice.”
Snoop Dogg’s decision: He praised Lauren’s growth and Yoshihanaa’s stage presence and vocal power.
