Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother 27 unleashed secret powers that instantly changed the game. With the house now divided and alliances crumbling, the arrival of three Big Brother 27 secret powers created immediate chaos — and a brand-new Head of Household was crowned amid the mayhem.

The drama picked up right after Zae’s eviction, with Zach surprisingly (and somewhat embarrassingly) in tears over a houseguest he’d known for barely a week. Meanwhile, Rylie, ever the strategic “floater,” revealed his vote to evict Zae was a calculated move to protect his standing with Amy and Rachel while still keeping the “Burger Boys” alliance on his side. A classic Big Brother strategy, indeed.

As Rylie subtly confirmed his vote to Amy and Rachel, the battle lines became crystal clear. Amy, Rachel, Jimmy, and Ashley realized the house was now officially divided — and one of them had to win HOH if they wanted to take control and target those who voted against Amy.

Meanwhile, the confusion over the “unexpected vote” continued to swirl. Keanu mistakenly believed Will was the rogue vote, while Adrian cleverly navigated the accusations, protecting Rylie’s secret… for now.

Just as tensions peaked, an alarm blared — launching a brand-new HOH competition unlike anything the houseguests had seen before. The Big Brother house had been “broken into,” with the HOH key and three secret powers hidden inside the grimy depths of the “BB sewers.” Contestants had to crawl through a dark, mucky environment to retrieve the stolen items.

Keanu was the first to claim a secret power, which removed him from the running for HOH. Shortly after, Jimmy emerged victorious with the HOH key, officially becoming the new Head of Household. But the chaos wasn’t over — two more powers remained. Mickey found the second, and Kelley locked down the third, leaving Jimmy eager (and a little worried) to discover what game-changing twists his fellow houseguests had just picked up.

In the Diary Room, Keanu learned he’d won the “Mystery Competitor” power — which lets a former houseguest play in the Veto Competition on his behalf, effectively giving him two shots at winning. Kelley’s prize was a “Mystery Veto,” allowing her to compete solo for a second veto after the regular Veto Meeting — a huge potential disruptor. But Mickey’s power was the most explosive: “HOH Interrogation.” If Jimmy fails to correctly guess that she’s the one who stole the HOH power during an interrogation session, she can take over as HOH. If he guesses right, he keeps control.

With the power structure shifting rapidly, Jimmy began his HOH duties immediately. He told Kelley that Keanu was his main target, and surprisingly, she agreed to go up as a pawn. Adrian, however, wasn’t nearly as eager to be nominated.

At the nomination ceremony, Jimmy placed Keanu, Kelley, and Adrian on the block, making it clear that Keanu was his top target. Keanu’s dramatic reaction? A staged nap — classic Big Brother flair.

Big Brother 27 continues Wednesday night at 8/7c on CBS and streams the following day on Paramount+.
