Well, Big Brother fans, if you thought you knew what to expect, think again! Season 27 just kicked off, and let’s just say it’s already living up to its “Hotel Mystere” theme with a twist no one saw coming.

This premiere was anything but ordinary, throwing us right into the deep end with a truly baffling moment: the sudden disappearance of our beloved host, Julie Chen Moonves! One moment she’s giving her iconic intro to the sixteen new houseguests, the next, the lights are out, chaos ensues, and poof – she’s gone, leaving behind only one shoe and a giant “MISSING HOST” sign. Talk about a dramatic entrance to the season!

The houseguests, understandably, were left scrambling. This isn’t your typical first-night mingling; they’re already plunged into a puzzle. Half the house was tasked with finding a “mysterious relic,” while the other half embarked on a frantic search for Julie herself. It was a race against time, complete with key cards, wrong doors, and even “fake Julies” to throw them off the scent! Ultimately, Zach proved his observational skills, winning the challenge and a cool $10,000.

But the twists didn’t stop there! The relic, once found, ushered in another surprise: a 17th houseguest. And who better to join the “Summer of Mystery” than a Big Brother legend? None other than Rachel Reilly, winner of Season 13 and a truly iconic player, burst into the house! Her return promises to shake things up even more, and we can’t wait to see how she navigates this “Hotel Mystere.”

Meanwhile, the first Head of Household competition saw houseguests trying to balance cores on a “BB blast” to “destroy the Mastermind’s lair.” Vince emerged victorious, earning the power to nominate the first three houseguests for eviction. This season is already hitting the ground running, and with Julie’s disappearance still an unresolved enigma and a Big Brother icon back in the mix, we’re in for a wild ride.

What were your thoughts on the premiere? Who are you rooting for already, and what are your theories about Julie’s whereabouts? Let us know in the comments!
