With the Oscars airing on ABC, it’s really of no surprise that the alphabet network’s late night talk host Jimmy Kimmel has signed on to host the Academy Awards. The ceremony will air on ABC on Feb. 26.

CBS has a long running association with the Kennedy Center Honors and they’ve re-upped their contract to air the annual broadcast through 2025. The 39th edition of the Kennedy Center Honors will air on the eyemark network Tuesday, Dec. 27, hosted by Stephen Colbert and honoring Martha Argerich, The Eagles, Al Pacino, Mavis Staples and James Taylor.

The Star Trek franchise is about to branch off another TV series. According to Screen Rant, set construction on Star Trek: Discovery is set to wrap within the month, with shooting expected to start at the beginning of 2017. Michelle Yeoh, Anthony Rapp and Doug Jones are among those cast for the series, which is now expected to arrive in May and will be available via CBS and CBS All Access.

According to TV Line, Scandal has cast Zoe Perry, daughter of cast member Jeff Perry, for a top-secret role on the series upcoming sixth season. Jeff Perry is best known as VP candidate Cyrus Beene on the series, but details of Zoe Perry’s role are being kept under wraps. The sixth season premieres on Jan. 19 on ABC.

The second season of Humans will return on AMC Monday, Feb. 13 at 10PM . The new season will feature the addition of Matrix actress Carrie-Anne Moss.

FX have dropped a new trailer and announced a Feb. 8 premiere for their new series Legion. The show is based in the Marvel X-Men universe and centered on a troubled young man who starts to realize the voices in his head may be real and he turns to a therapist and her team of specialists for help in adjusting to his new world.
