Bam! Pow! ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Shocks Will Arnett

The LEGO Movie became one of 2014’s surprise box-office hits, taking in more than $250 million in its theatrical run. So it’s hardly surprising that the LEGO team reassembled for a follow-up.  It’s not really a sequel as much as it is a spin-off, since this film belongs to the Batman characters introduced in the first movie.  Will Arnett, who voices Batman (and his alter ego, millionaire Bruce Wayne), was just as surprised as anyone that the new movie would focus in on his character; it’s something he never expected.

With an opening weekend box office of more than $55 million, The LEGO Batman Movie certainly proved they made a good decision.  It’s playing now in theaters everywhere

David Henrie Committed To Making Films He’s Morally Aligned With

arriety-posterIn theaters this weekend, THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY is the beautifully rendered big screen adaptation of the classic MARY NORTON children’s book series THE BORROWERS. The creation of internationally acclaimed filmmaker HAYAO MIYAZAKI (SPIRITED AWAY, PONYO), the film tells of a fantasy land where tiny people reside undetected under the floorboards of unsuspecting humans. A Japanese import, the film has been re-directed for release in the U.S. and now features the voice talents of BRIDGIT MENDLER, DAVID HENRIE, AMY POEHLER, CAROL BURNETT, WILL ARNETT and MOISES ARIAS.
Best known for his role on the popular Disney Channel sitcom THE WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE, DAVID HENRIE is a serious young man with serious intentions when it comes to show business. During an interview we did a few weeks ago, HENRIE talked about not working on any projects that don’t reflect his moral disposition. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)

‘UP ALL NIGHT’S’ WILL ARNETT: “SOMETIMES MY STUPIDITY COMES IN HANDY”

The freshman sitcom Up All Night centers on a married couple’s (Will Arnett, Christina Applegate) journey in raising their newborn baby.  While Reagan (Applegate) is a career woman (Maya Rudolph is her talk show host boss), Chris (Arnett) is a stay at home husband.

“I think my character on the show is a lot more laid back than I am as a parent,” says Arnett, who has two sons with wife Amy Poehler.  “Because he’s a new parent, he doesn’t have the wisdom…I’m not saying that I’m wise but you gain some knowledge along the way just through experience with the kids.  I would just say don’t sweat when things don’t go exactly right, don’t try to plan it all out.  Just roll with it.”
