Why ‘Black Panther’ Feels So Special To Sterling K. Brown

Black Panther is making Hollywood history in many ways. Of course, the film broke all kinds of box office records when it opened. But, more significantly, it’s taking a genre that has traditionally lacked diversity and showing that superheroes can come in any color. Sterling K. Brown of This Is Us, who is also featured in Black Panther, gives us his personal take on why it’s such a significant film. (Click on the media bar below to hear Sterling K. Brown)

After dominating the box office for the last two weekends, Black Panther is still playing in theaters everywhere.

For Justin Hartley, Brotherly Love Isn’t Easy On ‘This Is Us’

NUP_176703_3399.JPGSibling rivalry is a normal thing in most families; between the twins and an adopted triplet, the Pearson family on This Is Us is able to take it to a whole new level. Though there’s clearly plenty of love between the Pearson kids, there’s also plenty of tension. It’s those realistic, complex kinds of relationships that have helped the NBC series become such a big hit. The actors love those relationships just as much as the fans — Justin Hartley told us he’s especially intrigued by the dynamic between his character, Kevin, and Sterling K. Brown’s Randall. (Click on the media bar below to hear Justin Harley)

This Is Us airs Tuesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.

For ‘This Is Us’ Couple, The Love Is There, Both On- And Off-Camera

NUP_180067_3442.JPGWhether the show is making you laugh or cry, there’s a single word that applies to everything about This Is Us: Genuine. We love Beth and Randall Pearson as a couple because it feels like we’re watching a real-life couple, and that’s no accident. Sterling K. Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson told us it’s the perfect combination of strong writing and an even stronger chemistry between the two of them. (Click on the media bar below to hear

Sterling K. Brown: ‘This Is Us’ Is About All Of Us

Reliability is the life blood of NBC’s hit drama This Is Us. The life events experienced by the Pearson family — especially its kids, Kate, Kevin, and Randall — are the types of things we’ve all experienced in one way or another. The fact that the show’s stories resonate so personally with viewers is why Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown thinks people love the show so much. (Click on the media bar below to hear Sterling K. Sterling K. Brown Doesn’t Mind Taking His Work Home With Him

Sterling K. Brown has more than a decade’s worth of credits to his name, but none made him a household name until he signed on for This Is Us. Brown earned an Emmy Award for the role of Randall Pearson in Season 1 of NBC’s hit drama, and the show’s new season has Brown and his fellow cast members getting rave reviews again. Brown credits the show’s creator, Dan Fogelman, with creating characters that are both realistic and likable; in fact, Brown wishes he could be a little more like Randall in real life!
