Hot in Cleveland (Wednesdays, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, TV Land) hasn’t even finished its first season yet, but TV Land has already given a green light to the series for a second go ‘round.
The channel announced late Wednesday that 20 new episodes of the hit sitcom have been ordered and the four stars of the show, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, Jane Leeves and uber hot, Betty White will all be returning for season two.
Production on the new episodes officially kicks off in October 2010.
Gillian Jacobs, who plays Britta on the sitcom Community, has a small role in the big screen flick Solitary Man, starring Michael Douglas.
Jacobs, who is simply listed in the credits as “tall girl,” has to laugh about the irony of that handle considering she’s anything but a giant.
“I am five feet three and a half inches. By no one’s measure am I tall. That’s pretty funny,” she acknowledges.
OK, so it’s a cameo that required her to cut her hair and dye it black – hardly exciting. But, the chance to be in a pic with a superstar like Douglas, not to mention his notable co-stars, was too attractive to pass up.
“Yeah, that’s obviously why I did it,” she admits. “It was a great opportunity. I loved the script. It’s a tremendous cast: Susan Sarandon, Mary-Louise Parker, Jenna Fischer, Jesse Eisenberg, Danny DeVito…it’s an amazing cast. So I was happy to be un-credited girl with black hair.”
Solitary Man opens in theaters today.

Rob Lowe has joined the cast of Parks and Recreation to spice things up a bit, specifically for tonight’s season finale. And though Lowe is a talented dramatic actor, he has demonstrated his comic skills in movies like Austin Powers many times over – and now on this sitcom.
It may be a surprise to viewers that Lowe’s so funny, but not to his brother Chad Lowe, who has seen his brother kick serious butt making people laugh.

Parks and Recreation airs Thursdays, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
