Selena Gomez Loves Doing ‘Hotel Transylvania’ Movies For The Kids

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

With the previous two films focusing on Drac (Adam Sandler) finding a way to make hotel guests feel at home, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation has Drac getting the chance to relax on the Monster Cruise Ship. The vacation was gifted by his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), and though Drac may find romance on the cruise, his love interest Ericka (Kathryn Hahn) has other things on her mind (hint: her last name is Van Helsing).

Gomez, whose previous credits include the features The Fundamentals of Caring and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, is more than happy to be back with the latest installment.

“We’re back,” said Gomez. “It’s great. This is the family. It’s a gang. At this point, we know everybody and they should know us. Well, the family, not us as individuals!”

Speaking of family, Gomez talks about the joy of doing these animated films amidst the presence of an ever expanding family. Click on the media to hear Gomez talk about giving the kids something to talk about with the Hotel Transylvania flicks:

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, co-starring Andy Samberg, opens nationwide July 13.

‘The Fundamentals of Caring’ Trailer From Netflix Debuts

fundamentals

The Fundamentals of Caring hits Netflix on June 24, and the trailer shows off some pretty solid chemistry from Craig Roberts, best known for as the lead from Submarine, and Paul Rudd (Prince Avalanche, Captain America: Civil War).

Based on Jonathan Evison’s novel, the plotline centers on Ben (Rudd), a retired writer who becomes a caregiver to Trevor, an 18-year-old (Roberts) with muscular dystrophy who, as the trailer points out, is highly attracted to pop star Katy Perry. Selena Gomez co-stars as a runaway who joins the pair on a road trip through Americana (one of their destinations is to check out the “World’s Deepest Pit”).

Jennifer Ehle, an underrated actress who’s done excellent work in Pride and Glory and MI-5, co-stars as Trevor’s concerned mom. Rob Burnett, an executive producer of Late Night with David Letterman and director of the 2012 comedy We Made This Movie, wrote and directed The Fundamentals of Caring. Gwen Stefani: Selena Gomez Is The Best Advisor For ‘The Voice’

selenaOver the course of the nine seasons, The Voice has continued to keep the competition fresh and innovative. One of the things that the show does best is that the judges bring in Coach Advisors for The Battles. Each judge brings in A-list singers to work with their group.

Voice coach Gwen Stefani, a major star in her own right, has brought television star/movie/music star Selena Gomez as her advisor. Gomez is the perfect person to bring in especially right now, as she has a hit single with Good For You and her voice can be currently heard in the box office hit Hotel Transylvania 2. Gwen Stefani said she was the perfect choice to bring on as advisor because not only does she have so much experience under her belt at such a young age, she believes Gomez will only get better as an artist, and her continued growth can only inspire Stefani’s fellow singers.
