It’s an assumption that comedic greats like Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler would have worked together a plethora of times by now, but their comedic team ups have been sparse (Blades of Glory). Now they’re the leads of The House, a comedy which has them playing parents who open up an underground casino to finance their daughter’s (Ryan Simpkins) college education. The picture was written and directed by Andrew Jay Cohen, the scribe behind Neighbors, Neighbors 2 and Mike and Dave Need College Dates.
“Andrew, having written the script, had a very good game plan going on how he wanted to shoot it and how he wanted to conceive the whole project in terms of shot selection and set design” said Ferrell. “I think he did wonderfully well for a first time director.”
