SEAN MAGUIRE: MORE SPARTANS WITH KROB MANDOON

SEAN MAGUIRE (OFF-CENTRE, THE CLASS) returns to TV tonight in the new COMEDY CENTRAL series KROD MANDOON AND THE FLAMING SWORD OF FIRE. It’s a sword and sandal fantasy spoof not a whole lot unlike MAGUIRE’S last big-screen outing, MEET THE SPARTANS. We spoke with the actor recently who told us there’s little connection between the two, Listen in below:

KROD MANDOON: SCORCERERS AND WARRIORS

Tomorrow night sees the COMEDY CENTRAL premiere of KROD MANDOON AND THE FLAMING SWORD OF FIRE, a MEL BROOKS-like spoof of all things ‘sword and sorcerer’ starring SEAN MAGUIRE (MEET THE SPARTANS), JOHN RHYS-DAVIES (LORD OF THE RINGS) and MATT LUCAS (LITTLE BRITAIN). LITTLE BRITAIN USA: CHARACTERS PEOPLE RELATE TO

Last week’s premier of the HBO series LITTLE BRITAIN USA served as an introduction to American audiences of some of the more bizarre character creations of Brit writers MATT LUCAS and DAVID WALLIAMS.

But the success of the original LITTLE BRITAIN series on BBC and BBC AMERICA prove that audiences are receptive to the pair’s strange ways and don’t scare easily.

At a recent TCA press conference for the new show, LUCAS and WALLIAMS talked about how they hope the audience relates to the characters they create. Listen in below:

HBO BRINGS LITTLE BRITAIN ACROSS THE POND

Fans of the BBC’s hit comedy series LITTLE BRITAIN are well aware of the kind of madness creators MATT LUCAS and DAVID WALLIAMS have brought to the small screen for three seasons.

Beginning Sunday night HBO is grabbing a piece of the franchise with LITTLE BRITAIN U.S.A., a new series that features many of the show’s familiar  characters wending their way across these Unites States.

LUCAS and WALLIAMS appeared at a TCA press conference to explain the subtle differences between British and American humor. Check it out below and remember to tune in to HBO Sunday night:
