ddp_7418These days, it seems like you can’t talk about Dwayne Johnson without using the words “potential Presidential candidate.” The talk of a Rock run at the Oval Office has reached a fever pitch, and the actor himself hasn’t done anything to quash the rumors. Far from it — when we sat down with him to talk about his new movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, he even talked about the roles his co-stars could play in the possible Johnson administration.

Dwayne Johnson Brings The Pain To Kevin Hart With ‘Jumani: Welcome to the Jungle’

jumanji1

Thanks to their successful collaboration in the 2016 flick Central Intelligence, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart were more than happy to reunite with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Johnson plays adventurer Dr. Smolder Bravestone in the flick, and Hart’s role also has a memorable moniker (he plays zoologist Moose Finbar).

When asked about his favorite moment in the film, Johnson joked about one of his many sequences with Hart. “There’s a scene where Kevin and I have a little bit of a disagreement and I have to put him in his place,” said Johnson. “I put him in his place physically and I give him a little push and because it’s Smolder Bravestone he has super powers and Kevin goes 30 feet crashing into a wall. That’s my favorite. Any time I can see pain on Kevin’s face, I’m happy.”

Kevin Hart Feels “Lucky” To Be Part of ‘Captain Underpants’ Ensemble

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie

Based on Dav Pilkey’s popular comic-style series, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie centers on the misadventures of fourth grade kids Harold Hutchins (Thomas Middleditch) and George Beard (Kevin Hart). The pair accidentally hypnotize their stick in the mud principal (Ed Helms) who now believes he’s Captain Underpants!

“When you’re looking at a book that has this type of following you just want to make sure you do your job and bring in justice to an already successful franchise,” said Hart. “Having Ed as a guy to play off of as well as Thomas and the rest of the cast we had, it made it easier when you saw what people were doing with their characters. I’m very lucky to be a part of it (and) have the people that I had to bounce off of to ultimately make what we think is a great film that people are going to enjoy.”

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie hits theaters June 2d.
