Blessed with rich characterizations and a chance to give viewers a different angle on historical moments that changed the world, Timelessis an engaging, value-added series that was initially cancelled by NBC. Thanks to clamoring from its devoted viewers, the “Time Team” (Matt Lanter, Abigail Spencer, Malcolm Barrett) and bad guy (or maybe he’s just a conflicted guy!) Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic) are back for a second season.
“To know that we have a passionate fan base and that they went out and made themselves heard so loud that it changed the course of history,” said Lanter who plays Wyatt, the principled soldier who is helps Lucy (Spencer) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) on their quest. “It’s incredible and I feel special to be a part of it. I know the fans are going to be happy (with this) season.”

Timeless centers on the adventures of three individuals (Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Abigail Spencer) who travel back in time to ensure the safety of the Earth. A deadly organization named Rittenhouse is rewriting history in an attempt to bend reality to their own whims, and it’s up to these individuals to keep our world from going sideways.
Spencer has had an educational time playing history professor Lucy Preston. “I’m so much smarter since I started shooting the show,” said Spencer. Playing Lucy makes me seem so much smarter than I am, which is great. It’s been very interesting because every episode is a history lesson. I’ve learned about facets of history that I didn’t know existed.”

Timeless has its season two premiere on Sunday, March 11 (NBC, 10/9c).
Beach communities in California are as normal as the day is long, and Palos Verdes is one of the popular ocean driven neighborhoods along the coast. Angeleno Jennifer Garner executive produces and stars in The Tribes of Palos Verdes, playing the matriarch of a seemingly perfect family that’s actually crumbling under the seams.
Based on Joy Nicholson’s bestselling novel, the story centers on Medina (It Follows’ Maika Monroe) whose twin brother (Cody Fern) is addicted to drugs. Burdened by her father’s (Justin Kirk) admission that he’s fallen for another woman and her mother’s (Garner) emotional deterioration, Medina turns to surfing as her refuge. Alicia Silverstone, Elisabeth Rohm and Goran Visnjic co-star in the feature.

The Tribes of Palos Verdes hits theaters and VOD platforms December 1.
It’s great that NBC decided at the midnight hour to renew the well written series Timeless another season, and if you haven’t seen the show you can check out Timeless: Season One on DVD starting September 19.
The show centers on a criminal (Goran Visnjic) who is bent on destroying America with a time machine. Attempting to stop his plans is a scientist (Malcolm Barrett), soldier (Matt Lanter), and a history professor (Abigail Spencer). Along with its often twist driven narratives, the show also gives viewers a deeper insight to past historical events (one episode deals with the assassination of President Lincoln).

Special features on the DVD include deleted scenes and a gag reel.
Filming on the second season starts November, as the show is moving from Vancouver to Los Angeles.
Timeless is literally going gangster tonight with the episode “Public Enemy No. 1” as Flynn (Goran Visnjic) is working with Al Capone (Cameron Gharaee) in 1931 Chicago. Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter), and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) have an ace on their side, however, as Elliot Ness (Misha Collins) helps them in attempting to stop Flynn.
“His main objective still is to bring his family back,” said Visnjic. “But as he goes through more and more things – the things he does obviously is not what he was planning. He didn’t plan on becoming a ravaging psychopath who is doing all these crazy things but he constantly questions himself (and) . . . he’s really trying hard not to do that but he’s so infatuated with this idea that he can do this.”
Speaking of doing things that one doesn’t plan for, Visnjic has been getting his feet wet with social media. Click on the media bar to hear the actor talk about his experiences opening his own Instagram account and how it enhances his experience with Timeless’ diehard fans (Timeless co-star Malcolm Barrettis also heard on the clip).
Timeless airs Monday evenings on NBC (10 pm et/pt).
