Probably still best known for his work in the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL franchise, EFRON has been hard at work dispelling his “teen idol” image with roles in ME AND ORSON WELLES and the upcoming films THE LUCKY ONE, THE PAPERBOY and a still untitled domestic drama from filmmaker RAMIN BAHRANI. Betty White: Perfectly At Home In The Land Of ‘The Lorax’

Reportedly the favorite of author DR. SEUSS (a.k.a. THEODOR GEISEL), the story is rife with funny and whimsical characters while delivering a message of the importance of a balance between nature and progress.

SEUSS’ THE LORAX is the big-screen 3D-CG adaptation of the classic children’s book about a 12-year-old boy’s quest to impress his girlfriend by finding the elusive Truffula Tree and the curmudgeonly forest guardian that stands in his way. From the creators of DESPICABLE ME, the film is directed by CHRIS RENAUD and features the voice talents of ZAC EFRON, TAYLOR SWIFT, BETTY WHITE, ROB RIGGLE, ED HELMS and DANNY DeVITO.

Zac Efron Mystified By His New Movie, ‘The Paperboy’

paperboySoon to be heard as the voice of “Ted” in the big screen adaptation of the DR. SEUSS classic children’s book, THE LORAX, ZAC EFRON fans might be a wee bit disappointed that it’s only his voice being used in the film but can console themselves knowing that EFRON, in all his glory, will be seen later this year in THE PAPERBOY. Directed by LEE DANIELS from the novel by PETER DEXTER, THE PAPERBOY centers on a hot-shot journalist who returns to his rural hometown to get the story of a lifetime from a death row femme fatale.
The always charming EFRON sat down with entertainment reporters a couple of days ago and freely admitted that he doesn’t know how THE PAPERBOY has turned out but he was impressed with co-stars MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY, NICOLE KIDMAN and JOHN CUSACK. (CLICK ON THE MEDIA BAR FOR AUDIO)

Barack Obama’s Special Birthday Wish Still Breaks Betty White Up

SEUSS classic THE LORAX, nonagenarian actress BETTY WHITE is as popular today as she was when she first conquered television as the star of LIFE WITH ELIZABETH in the early 1950s.
Recently feted with a prime-time special commemorating the occasion of her 90th birthday, WHITE was celebrated by past and present co-stars as well as getting a congratulatory video by PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA.
