Vicki’s health scare becomes one of the biggest storylines of the episode as Vicki Gunvalson gets unsettling scan results, old tensions resurface, and Tamra Judge finds herself in the middle of another conflict on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
At the same time, former Housewives return for a major anniversary gathering, while Heather Dubrow and Alexis Bellino Janssen find themselves facing unfinished business.
Vicki’s health scare begins with a Prenuvo scan
The episode begins with Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge getting Prenuvo scans.
Vicki learns that doctors are seeing an increase in plaque in her brain. She is understandably concerned because her father developed Alzheimer’s at a relatively young age.
The doctor explains that what is showing up on Vicki’s scan is not the type of plaque associated with Alzheimer’s. The result is still upsetting for Vicki, who asks Tamra not to tell the other women about it.
Tamra shares Vicki’s health news
Despite Vicki asking for privacy, Tamra later tells Jennifer Pedranti and Emily Simpson that Vicki believes she may have brain damage.
At another dinner, Vicki decides to open up to Jenn and Gina Kirschenheiter about the results herself. That is when Jenn reveals that she has already heard about it.
Vicki realizes Tamra shared the information and becomes angry with her, turning Vicki’s health scare into another source of tension between the longtime friends.
Vicki’s medical scare adds to the tension
The health issue is not the only problem following Vicki. Carmella Decesare remains upset with her over comments involving her family, while Heather Dubrow learns that Vicki called her fake during the Palm Springs trip.
Vicki is confronted about some of the things she has said and repeatedly explains that she misspoke. The tension follows the women into a Persian-themed party hosted by Emily Simpson’s in-laws.
Vicki and Tamra drama leads to a direct talk
Before Vicki leaves the party because of pain in her knee, Tamra decides they need to speak directly.
Vicki becomes emotional and tells Tamra that her medical issues are private and should not have been shared with the other women. Tamra comforts Vicki, and the two eventually reach a calmer place.
Their conversation ends with a hug and at least some temporary peace between the longtime friends.
Jenn considers whether real estate is really for her
Elsewhere, Jennifer Pedranti spends time with Carmella Decesare, who has been encouraging her to explore real estate.
Carmella explains that she wants to help Jenn because other people helped her earlier in her own career. But Jenn admits that real estate may not actually be what she wants.
Instead, she says the experience has made her realize that she needs to find something she is genuinely passionate about.
While Vicki’s health concerns remain in the background, the episode shifts to Jenn’s search for something she truly wants to pursue.
Emily and Shane revisit an old argument
Emily Simpson and Shane Simpson also continue dealing with tension in their marriage.
Shane feels Emily does not always appreciate how much he handles when it comes to their children, including moments when he takes over parenting duties so she can stay out and enjoy herself.
Emily sees the issue differently. She worries that Shane has allowed parenting to become too much of his identity and thinks he needs more of a life outside being a father.
The disagreement once again leaves the two struggling to see the situation the same way.
Away from Vicki’s medical scare, Emily and Shane are still dealing with a familiar disagreement at home.
Heather reflects on her relationship with Terry
As Vicki’s health update continues to hang over the group, the episode also gives Heather Dubrow some quieter family moments. Heather continues making progress in her relationship with her mother and also has a heartfelt conversation with Terry Dubrow.
She reflects on their early relationship and talks about how Terry made her feel intelligent during their first date. But Heather’s peaceful moments do not last once the anniversary party begins.
RHOC reunion party brings back familiar faces
The celebration takes place at Elizabeth Vargas’ home and brings back a long list of familiar faces from The Real Housewives of Orange County history.
Among the returning former Housewives are Jeana Keough, Lizzie Rovsek, Jo De La Rosa, Quinn Fry, Tammy Knickerbocker, Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Lynne Curtin.
The gathering becomes a major former RHOC Housewives reunion, bringing together women from across different eras of the franchise.
Heather and Alexis have unfinished business
The arrival of Alexis Bellino Janssen creates another layer of tension at the reunion party.
Heather Dubrow has been bothered by comments Alexis made after Heather expressed uncertainty about attending Alexis and John Janssen’s wedding because of her friendship with Shannon Beador.
When Heather sees Alexis at the party, she waves to her. Heather believes Alexis responds with a look, and she starts telling some of the other women about what happened.
Alexis walks away as the RHOC drama builds
Tamra Judge eventually asks Alexis whether the look toward Heather was intentional.
Instead of getting into the issue, Alexis says she is not going to participate in the conversation and walks away.
Heather later decides to follow her outside so the two can talk directly. By that point, Alexis and Tamra have also managed to get locked outside.
Heather approaches Alexis to address their unresolved issues, setting up another confrontation as the episode ends with a “To Be Continued.”
Between Vicki’s health scare, the fallout with Tamra, the big former Housewives reunion and the tension between Heather and Alexis, the episode leaves plenty unresolved heading into the next chapter.
