Shaky Truces are forming as the crew heads into the final charter of Below Deck Mediterranean. Gen is trying to end the season on a better note, while the tension between Joe and Nathan is still hanging over the deck team.

Some relationships look like they’re turning a corner. Others might be past saving. And as those shaky truces are tested, the last group of charter guests shows up with very specific food requests, plus one surprise injury that throws another stressful moment into the mix.

Gen tries to show a different side

As final pickup day starts, Gen seems determined to prove she’s learned something this season. She tells Joy she’s the best chef she’s ever worked with and gives her credit for teaching her how to handle tough situations with grace.

Later, while making cabins with Kayley, Gen admits one of her biggest lessons has been putting her ego aside and becoming a better team player. People notice the change.

Once the guests come aboard, Aesha sees they take to Gen right away, and Gen finally gets some positive feedback from her chief stew.

Shaky truces begin as Sandy wants Joe and Nathan to move on

Before the guests arrive, Captain Sandy gathers the crew and tells them to leave the personal baggage behind. The message is aimed right at Joe and Nathan, whose feud keeps weighing on the deck team.

Sandy had already told the deck crew to pull it together for one last charter. But the tension is still pretty obvious, making any shaky peace between Joe and Nathan difficult to maintain.

When Nathan asks Joe to inflate a water toy, Joe gets frustrated enough to tell Sandy he can feel his stress climbing.

Joe and Nathan try to reach shaky truces

Later, Joe has a more honest conversation with Kayley. He says his father was an aggressive alcoholic, and when Nathan gets in his face, it brings back some rough childhood memories.

Joe eventually takes Sandy’s advice and pulls Nathan aside. Instead of rehashing the fight, he tells Nathan he misses their friendship and that he’s trying to accept that Nathan is in a different stage of life now.

Nathan isn’t totally buying it, but they shake hands. The moment creates one of the episode’s biggest shaky truces.

Afterward, Nathan messages Gael and says they’ve agreed to finish the charter together, but he doesn’t plan to work with Joe again.

Below Deck Med crew drama grows as Cooper and Kat drift apart

Things aren’t looking any better between Cooper and Kat. The relationship has gotten awkward enough that they’re greeting each other with side hugs now.

Kat admits she’s seen the warning signs but still hopes they can finish the season on a good note. Cooper sounds way less excited when Kat brings up visiting him and Gen in Fort Lauderdale after the season wraps.

While Joe and Nathan are attempting an uneasy peace, Cooper and Kat appear to be moving in the opposite direction.

Sandy celebrates 36 years of sobriety

The charter brings an emotional moment for Captain Sandy, who’s celebrating 36 years of sobriety. She opens up about her journey, then Aesha gives her a necklace with a pendant that has the number 36 and an anchor.

It gets emotional for Aesha too. She shares that her mother struggled with alcoholism when she was growing up, and that her mom has now been sober for ten years.

Below Deck Med final charter guests arrive hungry

The last charter group is led by primary guest Tristan, who arrives with his fiancé Melvin, several boyfriends, and their friend Cory. Their food requests immediately put pressure on Joy.

They want meals high in protein, high in volume, low in carbs and sugar. Joy realizes pretty fast that the chicken onboard might not cut it.

At the first dinner, she puts out several chicken dishes, but the guests feel the meal is lighter than what they had in mind.

The final charter guests want even more protein

The food complaints keep going. Later that night, after the hot tub and some drinks, the guests tell Gen their late-night sandwiches don’t have enough chicken.

Gen digs up protein bars to tide them over. At breakfast the next morning, even the steak-and-omelet sandwich has more bread than the group wants.

Joy checks in, and they finally settle on filet mignon and crispy chicken for dinner. Luckily, extra chicken provisions show up in time.

As the shaky truces between crew members hold for now, the demanding final charter gives everyone another challenge to focus on.

Joe and Cooper put on a show for the guests

During an afternoon of swimming and snorkeling, Joe and Cooper jump into the entertainment. They put on Speedos and let the guests do body shots off them.

Joe later dives into the water and bangs his head on a rock. He gets a small cut but is otherwise fine.

But that isn’t the only injury.

Vitor suffers a head injury

Back onboard, guest Vitor gets excited heading toward the inflatable slide. He smacks his head against the side of the yacht and cuts his forehead.

The medic who had previously visited the boat comes back to treat him. It’s the second guest medical incident in as many charters, but Vitor gets treated onboard and the charter goes on.

Shaky truces face another test with Luke’s surprise arrival

Meanwhile, Luke keeps in touch with Joy. He’s been sending her supportive messages all episode.

Near the end, Luke calls Joe with big news: he’s in Dubrovnik and wants to surprise Joy on the crew’s final night out. Joe agrees to keep it quiet and promises to tell Luke where the crew’s heading.

Joe immediately gets that the Luke surprise arrival could stir things up, especially with Gen. With shaky truces already holding the crew together and the last crew night coming, Luke’s surprise sets up one more round of drama before the season ends.
