The AGT Season 21 Finale is officially set, and Wednesday night brought some painful goodbyes along with six very happy semifinalists.

After 12 acts performed Tuesday night with their seasons hanging in the balance, America had the final say. There were no more Golden Buzzers available and no judges waiting to make a last-second save. Six acts were moving forward. Six were going home.

That made for a tense night, especially with several performers who had received huge reactions from the judges only 24 hours earlier suddenly finding themselves at the mercy of the vote. By the end of the show, the America’s Got Talent Season 21 finalists had been decided, completing the 10-act lineup that will compete for the $1 million prize.

Four acts were already in the AGT Season 21 Finale

Not everyone had to sweat through Wednesday’s America’s Got Talent results.

Hundred Fingers, Lai Noelle, Nene Royal and Unitree had already secured their spots in the AGT Season 21 Finale after receiving Live Golden Buzzers during the quarterfinal rounds. That left six openings in the AGT finale field for the semifinalists.

The group fighting for those places included Acro Canine Crew, Cesar Dias, Come Here, Daniel Alvarez, Geno Ploeger, Kameron Marshall, Luke Taleno, Olivia Befus, Royal Lasers, Travis Garland, Veronika Goroshkova and Young & Strange.

Before Terry Crews started delivering the AGT semifinal results, however, America’s Got Talent gave everyone a little time to enjoy themselves. Season 20 runner-up Chris Turner returned with another improvised rap performance, working his way through a ridiculous collection of accents and suggestions selected by the judges.

There was also an appearance from Eric Nam, who spent time backstage with the contestants for AGT’s TikTok Live coverage, and even a video appearance from The Traitors host Alan Cumming. Eventually, though, there was no avoiding the reason everyone was there. It was time for the results.

Olivia Befus earns the first AGT finale spot

The first decision immediately produced an interesting matchup. Kameron Marshall stood alongside Olivia Befus, putting one magician against a young performer and her three dogs.

The judges had previously wondered whether Olivia might have trouble standing out after another large-scale dog act performed during the same semifinal. America apparently wasn’t worried about that.

Olivia Befus advanced, becoming the first semifinalist added to the AGT Season 21 final lineup. Howie Mandel summed up the result pretty simply: America loves dogs. As it turned out, voters apparently had enough room for more than one canine act.

Veronika Goroshkova flies into the America’s Got Talent finale

Next came Daniel Alvarez and Veronika Goroshkova. Daniel had brought comedy to the semifinals, while Veronika delivered one of the evening’s most visually dangerous performances high above the stage. The spot went to Veronika.

Before leaving, Daniel used his final moment on the AGT stage to thank the Los Angeles comedy community that had supported him. Sofia Vergara, meanwhile, made it clear she believed Veronika belonged exactly where America had put her. Another member of the America’s Got Talent Season 21 finalists was locked in.

Acro Canine Crew gives the dogs a clean sweep

Then things got even better for the dogs. Acro Canine Crew faced Cesar Dias, whose strange combination of comedy and music had made him one of the season’s most unusual acts.

Cesar had even promised more chaos if America sent him through. He never got the chance. Acro Canine Crew became the third semifinal act announced for the finale, meaning both dog acts competing in the semifinals survived the vote.

For Terry Crews, it was an especially satisfying result. Acro Canine Crew had previously received his Golden Buzzer, and now the group was one performance away from potentially winning the entire season. With three semifinalists through, the AGT finale field was beginning to take shape.

Come Here survives as Luke Taleno says goodbye

Come Here and Luke Taleno were next. This one sent the Korean dance crew through.

Come Here had delivered another massive dance performance Tuesday, and America’s vote guaranteed the group one more chance to do it in the AGT Season 21 Finale. Luke, meanwhile, left with plenty of praise from the judges, who made it clear that elimination did not change what they thought of his potential.

Come Here promised to give everything they had when they returned for the finale. At that point, only two openings remained.

Royal Lasers ends Young & Strange’s AGT run

One of the more interesting questions entering the AGT semifinal results involved magic. Three magic acts had performed in the semifinal, which meant voters had plenty of choices if illusion was their thing.

They did not send all three through. Royal Lasers was paired against Young & Strange, and the visually spectacular light-and-dance group won America’s vote.

That eliminated Young & Strange and left only Geno Ploeger carrying the flag for the night’s magicians. Which made the final result even more interesting.

Geno Ploeger completes the AGT Season 21 Finale field

The last two acts waiting for an answer were Geno Ploeger and Travis Garland. Geno had delivered one of Tuesday’s most memorable moments with a prediction routine that seemed to leave Mel B genuinely stunned.

Apparently, viewers were impressed too. Geno Ploeger was going to the America’s Got Talent finale.

The young magician immediately became emotional, struggling to hold back tears as he thanked everyone who had supported him. After weeks of auditions, Golden Buzzers, quarterfinals and one extremely competitive semifinal, there was nobody left waiting. The AGT final 10 were officially set.

The America’s Got Talent Season 21 finalists

Joining the four Live Golden Buzzer recipients in the finale are Olivia Befus, Veronika Goroshkova, Acro Canine Crew, Come Here, Royal Lasers and Geno Ploeger. They will compete alongside Hundred Fingers, Lai Noelle, Nene Royal and Unitree.

Ten acts. One final performance. The AGT Season 21 Finale will decide which act becomes the Season 21 champion and walks away with the $1 million prize. After everything America decided Wednesday night, the only vote left is the biggest one of the season.
