As the focal point of the movie, it’s not a stretch to say that Margot Robbie is Barbie. Co-writer and director Greta Gerwig thinks that’s true. Gerwig told us that Robbie’s involvement in the movie — as both its star and as a producer — went above and beyond any expectations she’d had, as Robbie became the film’s biggest booster.
