Spin And ‘Bear’ It: How Elizabeth Banks Took Liberties With ‘Cocaine Bear’s’ Behavior

The number of theatergoers who have actually seen a bear on cocaine is probably pretty close to zero. That being the case, the Cocaine Bear team had a lot of leeway in figuring out how the wanted the bear to behave in the movie. Director Elizabeth Banks said that was one of the fun parts about making the movie, that they could make it as realistic or as over-the-top as they wanted to.
