The new film The Princess puts a whole new spin on the idea of the medieval damsel in distress. While it may start off with a familiar fairy tale trope — the princess being locked in the tower — executive producer and star Joey King says things take a definite turn from there, and her character winds up being less fairy tale princess and more Xena: Warrior Princess.
