In assembling a cast for his new satirical dramedy, Don’t Look Up, writer/director Adam McKay recruited a team of all-stars, including several actors who have won or been nominated for Academy Awards: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, Mark Rylance, Cate Blanchett, and Timothée Chalamet. Streep, the winner of three Oscars, had a lot of nice things to say about co-star Lawrence, and Streep says she was especially impressed by how Lawrence never broke character, even in the film’s funniest moments.
