For seven seasons, The Good Wife was a show that not only earned a tremendously loyal audience, but also plenty of kudos, including 43 Emmy Award nominations and five wins. And then, in 2016, it was gone in a slap. It certainly hasn’t been forgotten, though. Thanks to its streaming-only sequel, The Good Fight, which has consistently lit up the internet with social media chatter, The Good Wife has continued to find new viewers on streaming platforms, too. Julianna Margulies, who won two of those five Emmys for her portrayal of Alicia Florrick on the show, told us why she, audiences, and award season voters found the character so irresistible.
