
Leonardo DiCaprio has long been a proponent of environmental awareness, even devoting the work of his charitable foundation to the issue. So, when given the chance to star in the satire Don’t Look Up, about a comet that threatens Earth’s existence, he worked closely with writer/director Adam McKay to finesse the film’s message. He partially used his expertise from dealing with climate change experts, but since he would be playing an astronomer in the movie, he told us he spent a good amount of time doing research to bolster his astronomical point of view.
