Eight Seasons In, ‘The Voice’ Still Feels New For Kelly Clarkson

The idea of The Voice hasn’t changed that much since the show’s inception. But Kelly Clarkson, who just passed Christina Aguilera as the coach with the third-longest tenure on the show with her eighth season, doesn’t think that means the show’s gone stale. In fact, Clarkson believes it’s exactly the opposite. With every new season she does, she says, she feels like she’s hearing and experiencing brand-new things for the first time. The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC, and episodes start streaming the following day on Peacock.
