To direct The Many Saints of Newark, creator David Chase and the producers turned to Alan Taylor, who’d directed nine episodes of The Sopranos during its original six-season run. Given his deep connection to the show, Taylor put a lot of effort into giving the prequel film the same feel as the much-beloved series. Now that it’s finished and ready to be seen by Sopranos fans, Taylor hopes that viewers will feel that same kind of connection. (Click on the media bar below to hear Alan Taylor)

The Many Saints of Newark is now playing in theaters and currently streaming on HBO Max.
