Tiffany Haddish is, of course, known best for her comedic roles on TV shows and in movies. She made her dramatic debut in the little-seen film The Kitchen two years ago, but she’s hoping her new film, The Card Counter, will be her breakthrough as a serious actor. Of course, that means she’s hoping audiences will flock to theaters to see The Card Counter, which also stars Star Wars veteran Oscar Issac, Tye Sheridan, and four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe. When we spoke to Haddish, she explained why people should go see the movie while it’s on the big screen instead of waiting to stream it on their small screens. The Card Counter opens in theaters on September 10.
