Robert Pattinson’s new movie, The Lighthouse, got a very limited release about a month ago, but it’s been growing based on glowing word-of-mouth. It’s a period piece, based in the 1890s, about a pair of lighthouse keepers who find mystery and intrigue on their deserted island. Taking place at a time when most of today’s modern conveniences didn’t exist yet, Pattinson found that having to put in the extra physical work of portraying everyday life back then actually helped his acting process.
