Kit Harington Has A Secret Pen Pal In ‘The Death & Life Of John F. Donovan’ Trailer

The Death & Life of John F. Donovan, which premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, is finally getting its stateside release in December. Directed by Xavier Dolan, the picture originally featured Jessica Chastain, but her character didn’t make the final edit.

The story centers on the titular character (Kit Harington), a titular star who had a written correspondence with a kid named Rupert (Jacob Tremblay). A decade after Donovan’s passing, the now adult Rupert (Ben Schnetzer) reminisces on the impact the letters had on both of their lives. Natalie Portman, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, and Thandie Newton are part of the ensemble. Dolan directed another movie (Matthias & Maxime) since finishing The Death & Life of John F. Donovan, so this movie has probably been on the shelf longer than expected. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!

The Death & Life of John F. Donovan hits theaters, Digital, and On Demand on December 13.
