Nicolas Cage is having a busy year as he’s been seen in A Score to Settle, Running with the Devil, Primal, and Kill Chain. Don’t expect him to slow down in 2020, as Color Out of Space is on the horizon.

Nathan Gardner (Cage) is a family man whose life takes a turn for the worse after a meteorite lands on his farm. Gardner and his family attempt to battle this mutant organism which ultimately takes over their minds and bodies, ultimately infusing a rush of color and tragedy into their lives.

What makes Color Out of Space super interesting is it’s directed by Richard Stanley, the filmmaker behind Dust Devil and Hardware. Stanley was also replaced by John Frankenheimer for 1996’s troubled production The Island of Dr. Moreau, and one wonders what would have happened to Stanley’s career if he actually directed that film (he penned the flick’s screenplay).

Color Out of Space, co-starring Joely Richardson and based on an H.P. Lovecraft short story, hits theaters January 24, 2020. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!
