It’s taken them decades to do it, but three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep and Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh are finally making a movie together. The surprise is that they’re making the movie for Netflix instead of wide theatrical release. From the time they greenlit The Laundromat, based on the real-life Panama Papers scandal, the film was on an accelerated schedule, and Streep told us Soderbergh has become a master at turning around quality films very quickly, and this film needed to be done on a timely basis.
