If you’re looking for an unlikely subject for a comedy, it would be hard to beat a woman in Nazi Germany who’s got a son in the Hitler Youth and is also hiding a Jewish girl. But that is indeed the plot of Jojo Rabbit, the new film from Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. Scarlett Johansson stars in the movie, and while she knew Waititi through the Marvel connection, she says it was the quality of the unusual script that really sold her on the project.
