The first two seasons of Star Trek: Discovery have won plenty of acclaim among both viewers and critics. Maybe it’s because the series is streaming, rather than airing on a broadcast network, but the show really does seem to be taking more risks, boldly going where no other Star Trek show has gone before. That was made all too clear by the season-ending cliffhanger at the end of Season Two, which found the starship mysteriously jumping hundreds of years into the future, setting up a third season that would seem to be vastly different than the first two. At a press event executive producer Alex Kurtzman spoke about the new season of Discovery, and he gave us a little insight into what we can expect.
