As a four-time Oscar winner, you’d expect Meryl Streep to limit her output to the big screen. But Streep has made a career out of defying expectations, which is why she recently starred on HBO’s Big Little Lies. And while her next movie has a big-screen pedigree — it’s directed by fellow Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh and co-stars another Oscar winner, Gary Oldman — it was greenlit as a Netflix streaming film. The drama about financial corruption also stars Sharon Stone, Antonio Banderas, James Cromwell, and Melissa Rauch. It’s an amazing cast, but for Streep, the big selling point was the chance to finally work with Soderbergh, and she didn’t care where the final product wound up.
