Ready or Not centers on Grace (Samara Weaving), a newly married woman who, as part of the family ritual, has to play a game that will hopefully put her in good graces with her new relatives.
Unfortunately, her family is actually out for blood during the game of hide and seek, and Grace must run for her life or else end up six feet under. The picture is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, part of a filmmaking team known as Radio Silence.
“It was the first time I had played a protagonist in this kind of genre,” said Weaving. “So that was really fun to kind of to explore that and I have a great drama coach who helped me. The directors in Radio Silence – they had no restrictions on what we could do. We could improvise and play.”
