Alan Moore is viewed by some as one of the best comic book writers in the world, but he is also staunchly opposed to seeing any of his works made into Hollywood productions. That hasn’t stopped producers from making movies like The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, V Is For Vendetta, and Watchmen, though. Now, Damon Lindelof (Lost) is adapting Watchmen into a television series, and he’s well aware of Moore’s contempt for such projects. Lindelof told us he’s been conflicted about doing the series, and that he even tried reaching out to Moore to explain why he wants to produce it. (Spoiler alert: It didn’t go well.) Watchmen will premiere this October on HBO.
