Once Upon a Time in Hollywood gave writer/director Quentin Tarantino his biggest opening ever this past weekend. While it still had plenty of Tarantino’s quirks, the movie does feel slightly more mainstream than a lot of his work. Leonardo DiCaprio, who stars as a has-been actor in 1969 Hollywood, thinks what makes the movie so different is that it’s ultimately about a bunch of unique characters living their lives, but then just happen to get caught up in a really extraordinary situation.
