The Curse of La Llorona hits Blu-ray and DVD on August 6, and the feature’s digital release is scheduled for July 16.

Set in 1973 Los Angeles, the tale centers on a mother (Linda Cardellini) who attempts to save her children from a spirit who is trying to take them away. The ensemble includes Marisol Ramirez (NCIS: Los Angeles), Sean Patrick Thomas (Save The Last Dance), and Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen (Selfless).

Directed by newcomer Michael Chaves, the film was budgeted at $9 million made over $121 million worldwide.

Special features include deleted scenes, storyboards, and three featurettes (“The Myth of La Llorona,” “Behind the Curse,” and “The Making of a Movie Monster”).
