Summer should be all fun and games, right? That’s what ABC is doing once again with its Wednesday night lineup, stacking it top to bottom with new versions of old game shows. Press Your Luck originally ran from 1983-86, with a brief revival in 2002, and now it’s back as the anchor for Game Night. Elizabeth Banks is the new host of the show, and she told us that, while most of the game has remained the same, there are a few new twists that will make this version even more fun to watch. Meanwhile, Joel McHale presides over a new version of the ’70s classic Card Sharks. He thinks that, like many classic games, the concept of Card Sharks has stood the test of time, so people are bound to enjoy it. (Click on the media bar below to hear Joel McHale)
ABC’s Game Night features Press Your Luck at 8/7c, Card Sharks at 9/8c, and Match Game at 10/9c on Wednesdays.
