Some movie fans may be a bit tired of the constant stream of superhero flicks, but thankfully Brightburn is a step in a different direction. Produced by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), Brightburn is an alternate take on the Superman origin story, as we follow the journey of a boy named Brandon (Jackson A. Dunn) who is literally not of this Earth.
Even though he was raised by loving parents (Elizabeth Banks, David Denman), Brandon turns into an evil child, and his superpowers leads him on a path of destruction. The picture, which has amassed a worldwide box office take of $26 million, was made for an estimated $6 million.
