Directed by Olivia Wilde, Booksmart centers on Molly (Beanie Feldstein) and Amy (Kaitlyn Dever), two studious high school seniors who have spent their teenage life buried in academics. When Molly discovers that her fellow classmates are off to great colleges and also balanced a social life, she and Amy decide to party it up the night before graduation. This Los Angeles set tale, marking the feature directing debut of Wilde, is a hilarious and ultimately resonant coming of age story that also features an excellent ensemble (Billie Lourd and Skyler Gisondo co-star.).

Dever, whose television credits include Justified and and Last Man Standing, has also starred in the features The Front Runner and Beautiful Boy. It was her work Men, Women & Children that helped convince Wilde that she was perfect for Amy. Click on the media bar to hear how she bonded with the friendship and family themes behind Booksmart:
