Twenty-five years after Star Trek: The Next Generation signed off, CBS delivered its first look at Star Trek: Picard, the new series set to debut later this year. It’s the first Star Trek series to be named after a single character, a testament to the popularity of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. It’s ironic, then, to learn that Patrick Stewart almost didn’t take the role, thinking he was just going to be a bit player on TNG. (Click on the media bar below to hear Patrick Stewart)
Star Trek: Picard will begin streaming later this year on CBS All Access.
