The Village centers on a group of people who live in a Brooklyn apartment building. Although they are not family by blood, the members form an inextricable bond with one another.

Michaela McManus is Sarah, a nurse and single mom who is raising a teen. For the actress, working on The Village has been a creatively gratifying journey.

“I’ve always been really interested in the human experience,” said McManus. “That is what drew me into becoming an actor because that’s what we do. When you get to play a character like Sarah who is fully carved out – there is such a range there – as an actor that is such a gift to play. Every day I go to work, I’m making new discoveries.”
