Director/writer Mark Steven Johnson has helmed such ambitious projects as Daredevil and Ghost Rider, but with Finding Steve McQueen he embarks on another deceptively challenging feature.
Based on the true story of Ohio crooks who attempted to steal $30 million in illegal contributions from President NIxon’s secret fund. Instead of giving a linear account of the events, screenwriters Ken Hixon and Keith Sharon deliver a multi-layered narrative that jumps through various time periods. Travis Fimmel (Vikings, Lean On Pete) is Harry Barber, the driver of the crew who, years later, attempts to come clean with his girlfriend (Rachael Taylor).
