Saint Judy is the true story of immigration attorney Judy Wood’s (Michelle Monaghan) inspiring fight to change American asylum law. A religious woman, Wood ventured into immigration law after she had a vision of helping others who were in need of her help. While balancing her life as a single mom, Wood represented a woman who was forced to leave her home after being persecuted by the Taliban after opening a school for girls. The case would eventually end up before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, eventually allowing women to be a protected class.

The ensemble includes Common (The Hate U Give), Peter Krause (The Catch), Alfred Molina (The Front Runner), and Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage).

Monaghan, seen last year in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, also toplined the series The Path with Aaron Paul and received a Golden Globe nod for True Detective. Saint Judy, directed by Return to Zero filmmaker Sean Hanish, hits select cities on March 1 with a wider release the following week. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!
